I am seeing reproducible issues with the following combination: XR18 FW 1.17 Windows device drivers 4.38, Windows 1803 build 17134.254 (fully updated) I have seen the PDF included with Drivers 4.38 which talks about a policy setting, and my system's AllSignersEqual was set to 'Not Configured'. I installed the one and only driver they have for it. I have a Behringer 1832USB (loaned out right now) and a dinky Q802USB. Both of the older mixers work fine in vMix. I do think you are on to something. In the control panel I renamed the recording device as XR18. However, when I bring it in to vMix it still considers it to be "Line Behringer With the ASIO4ALL driver, I can now play the tracks, but it won't recognize the XR18 input.
